We are diving deep in the Palmetto State for fresh seafood and great drinks!

Alright y'all, this next post will make you pack your bags, hop in the car and take a trip down to Charleston,SC! Being a Navigator of Charleston, my job entails learning about great places to send people to go eat (I mean how much better could it get?!) Well this place is one that I will continue to recommend to guests over and over and I recommend it to y'all as well!

Fleet Landing is a great water front dining experience with some of the best seafood you could ever have. Keep reading though, because I have awesome pictures and great descriptions of the amazing meal I got to indulge in!

So when you first enter this location, you suddenly feel like you are boarding a boat, ready to go out to sea.. well just the Charleston Harbor Inlet. When you go see the Host(ess), definitely ask to sit outside because the views are gorgeous and just puts you in the mood and theme of the restaurant!

I bet you aren't reading this and just staring at the picture to the right of this text. Well if you don't keep reading you won't know the name of that dish or the drink for that matter. So come on keep reading y'all!

So first off lemme start with the drink or should I say drinks, because I had a few. Well the one pictured to the right is called a French Quarter Martini. With its delicate color and Orange garnish it's a drink that you will want to make as your go-to drink at Fleet Landing (well it's mine now anyway!).

Well if you happen to come Monday through Friday from 4-7, you will be in the midst of "Happy Hour" and can snag this drink, along with a few others for $6.00!

The French Quarter Martini combines Tito's Homemade Vodka, Chambord, and a splash of Pineapple Juice; garnished with Orange and you have yourself a French Quarter. I recommend rimming your glass with the orange garnish and then squeeze the orange into your drink and mix it a little bit, and that just enhances the flavor of this go-to favorite even more!

But i'll fill you in about another drink that is one I highly recommend! It is called the Peach Tea Martini. Mixed with Firefly Sweet Tea vodka and Peach Moonshine, you have yourself a killer combination!

Pictured to the right, you can see its orange tint and lemon garnish and like i recommended with the other drink, rim the glass with the lemon and then squeeze the lemon into the drink and mix to just enhance that already amazing flavor!

Alright now on to the food! I know y'all have been waiting for this, so here we go.

So to start off this amazing meal, I ordered the Chilled Crab Dip with crackers. Delivered to the table, you immediately start to eat with your eyes and have the smell of Old Bay and Crab hit your nose. The perfect serving size to share, it will be gone in minutes and leave you wanting just one more cracker with dip. The first bite I took was full of fresh crab, old bay and some scallions on top of a salty cracker and it was utter perfection. I told myself I wasn't going to indulge in the whole plate... well that most definitely was a lie. In just minutes the plate was gone and like I told you earlier, made me craving just one more bite. Sipping my French Quarter Martini, it was an amazing combination and one I would pair together again and again. But this Chilled Crab Dip wasn't the only thing I ordered.

I also indulged in Iron Skillet Mussels topped with toasted bread. In a creamy white wine sauce with tomatoes, roasted garlic, shallots, cream and herb butter; your mouth starts watering when the plate is delivered to your table. Personally I loved dipping the bread into the sauce because it soaked up the flavor and was an amazing bite that you wanted to have again.

These mussels were cooked perfectly and smothered in the white wine cream sauce. Pick one up and see the sauce dripping from the shell but the meat covered in sauce. But don't worry, the looking won't last long till you open up the shell more and indulge in the meat. Sipping a Peach Tea Martini or French Quarter Martini is the ultimate combination. And like before, the plate will be gone in minutes and leave you wanting another whole plate!

Again this is the perfect serving to share... or to have all to yourself, but I will leave that decision up to you!

But I need to back track just a little and tell you what they served to start off the meal. While you are sitting there waiting for your meal to arrive, they bring you freshly baked, warm biscuits with butter. But I have to say, it wasn't just regular butter, it was a sweet butter, like there was a hint of honey in there; but totally worth it. As you have probably gathered from this meal, those didn't last long either!

So what do you think? Ready to hop in the car and come to Charleston to eat at this great waterfront find? Well I recommend you do, cause if you don't you are truly missing out!

So have I made your decision on your next meal choice? I sure hope so! The next time you are wondering where to go for a good meal, sweet treat or homemade recipe, come right here and this southern girl will take care of you.
