The Palmetto State "Blossoms" on this next Charleston favorite
So this next blog post is going to introduce you to a restaurant I have always wanted to try, and when the opportunity arose for me to go I immediately jumped at the opportunity and went. Down on East Bay Street in Downtown Charleston sits a restaurant called Blossom. It's known as a "Stylish eatery serving simple yet inspired Lowcountry dishes."
Located at 171 E Bay St sits this quaint restaurant. Serving up some delicious seafood dishes and wood grilled pizzas, this is one place you need to eat at before you leave Charleston. What to order you may ask? Well by all means let me help you decided

By scanning over the menu, you have a lot to choose from and narrowing down the choices can be difficult, but if you are like me, you would automatically find the dish with the most seafood and that will make your mouth water by just reading the description. Now the dish that I ordered did all of those things, so obviously I was in pure seafood heaven. Ready to see what it was? Well keep reading and find out.
After reading and reading and reading some more, I finally made a choice for what to order from the menu. Pictured to your right is their Shellfish Bisque. Underneath that golden brown puff pastry is shrimp, mussels and lobster in a warm bisque and let me tell you it is cooked to perfection. Since Charleston has been experiencing winter these last few weeks, this was the perfect dish to warm me up, and get me ready for a night out in downtown.
I would say you could share this dish with someone, but y'all might want to order your own because let me tell you, it is that good.
Not in the mood for a bisque? Not to worry, i'll give you a few more of my must try's (and I only say that because I want to try them for myself).
What about Oven Roasted Salmon with lemon and horseradish smashed new potatoes, wilted kale and mustard butter? Or pan seared sea scallops served with a butternut squash risotto, shaved radish, red onion, arugula, and a beer mustard emulsion? Any of those catch your interest? If not they do have a NY Strip as well as pizza and smoked brisket. So their has to be something on this menu that you would eat. And if not.. then I feel so sorry for you.
So have I made your decision on your next meal choice? I sure hope so! The next time you are wondering where to go for a good meal, sweet treat or homemade recipe, come right here and this southern girl will take care of you.
